For Security, Peace, and Development. Following the creation of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC), our province, and as a Chairperson of the PTF-ELCAC, we continue to do our share in bringing local insurgency to its conclusion by organizing the Provincial Government Task Force against insurgency.
Through Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, we have managed again to provide first milestones in the province; provision of sea ambulances to develop a comprehensive emergency management system in coastal and island barangays positioned in Abra de Ilog, Looc, Lubang and San Jose. In addition, we have also purchased one (1) unit of Mobile Kitchen called as the Kusina ng Lalawigan to provide aide to COVID-19 patients, as well as address the needs of nutritional problems in far-flung areas of the province.
As part of Other Social Services, we have conducted community outreach to Indigenous Cultural Communities to ensure Mangyan participation in all local development undertakings through strengthening of tribal/ICCs organization, tribal general assembly/community meetings, water system establishment.
Under the Rehabilitation and Recovery Program for COVID- 19 Pandemic of PSWDO, a total of 8 groups and 13 individuals with 245 male and 187 females under youth sector received livelihood assistance amounting to 525,000.00 pesos. For women and solo parents’ sectors, 7 groups and 29 individuals with 18 male and 268 females across provincewide received financial assistance amounting to 502,800.00 pesos to start their projects. Also, an amount of 346,000.00 pesos were distributed to former, distressed, and repatriated OFWs to 1 group and 32 individuals with 18 male and 14 females. 3 groups and 34 individuals’ Senior citizens with 87 male and 46 females amounting to 502,800.00 pesos received livelihood assistance and 1 group and 27 individuals of PWDs with 56 male and 25 females also received livelihood assistance amounting to 353,000.00 pesos.
