PROVISION OF EFFICIENT INFRASTRUCTURE

Efficient infrastructure play vital roles towards a sustained socio-economic growth. It creates livelihood opportunities, better transportation accessibility, encourages investors from neighboring provinces, and provides refuge in times of weather disturbances and calamities.

The provincial government through the Provincial Engineer’s Office and the Provincial Equipment Pool Office implemented various infrastructure projects under 20% Development Fund. Out of fifty two (52) projects, forty five(45) were completed which is comprised of the following:

• Contruction of 27 units multi-purpose halls
• Contruction of 2 units evacuatiion centers
• Improvement of 1 untis provincial hospital water system
• Contruction of 1 unit drainage system
• Contruction of 2 units flood control facilities
• Rehabilitation/Improvement of 5 units junctions to barangay roads
• Contruction of 1 unit river bank protection/bridge

Infrastructure projects from other sources as the PAMANA Project, DILG-OPPAP, DILG-CMGP, Tobacco Excise Tax, DOH, LBP Loans and Calamity Fund were also Implemented by the provincial government. The acquired loans from LBP and funding from DOH were alloted for the improvement of healthcare facilities in the province
