GENERATING LIVELIHOOD OPPORTUNITIES, ENHANCING TRANSPORTATION ACCESSIBILITY

Governor Eduardo B. gadiano underscores the crucial role of efficient, province wide infrastructure in fostering sustainable socio-economic growth. This includes generating livelihood opportunities, enhancing transportation accessibility to attract investors from neighboring provinces, and ensuring safe refuge during weather disturbances and calamities. Through the collborative efforts of the Provincial Engineer’s Office (PEO), a total of 83 infrastructure projects were successfully implemented across various municipalities in 2024.

The Indigenous Cultural Community Affairs Office (ICCAO) of Governor Eduardo B. Gadiano plays a pivotal role in preserving, promoting, and protecting the irghts and welfare of indigenous cultural communities. Acting as a liaison between these communities and government agencies, ICCAO facilities the implementation of programs and policiies aimed at empowering indigenous groups, safeguarding their ancestral domains, and promoting their cultural heritage, through collaboration and advocacy, ICCAo strives to ensure that indigenous people have access to essential services, resources, and opportunities while respecting their identities and traditional practices.

In 2024, the office focused on empowering these communities, protecting ancestral lands, and promoting cultural heritage. ICCAO strengthened tribal organizations, organized community meetings, and supported key infrastructure projects, including the construction of water systems, multi-purpose halls, and other essential facilities. The office also provided food assistance, construction materials, and hosted cultural events like the Mangyan Day Celebration. Despite challenges such as delays and limited manpower, ICCAO successfully aided the preservation of traditions and improved the well-being of indigenous communities.
